COMPARING AIRTRAQ AND MACINTOSH LARYNGOSCOPES FOR ENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION IN ADULTS: EVALUATING EASE OF USE IN STANDARD AND CHALLENGING SCENARIOS
Abstract
This study compares the Airtraq and Macintosh laryngoscopes for endotracheal intubation in adult patients, assessing their usability in both standard and challenging airway scenarios. A systematic review of literature and clinical trials was conducted to analyze intubation success rates, time taken for intubation, and incidence of complications using each device. The findings highlight the advantages and limitations of each laryngoscope in different airway conditions, offering insights into optimal device selection based on patient characteristics and clinical settings.
