LALAB PURPUREOUS: UNVEILING ITS ANTI-INFLAMMATORY POTENTIAL AS A HERBAL REMEDY
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the anti-inflammatory potential of Lalab Purpureous methanolic leaves extract in Wistar albino rats. Inflammation is a common physiological response to tissue injury or infection, and excessive inflammation can contribute to the pathogenesis of various diseases. Lalab Purpureous, a plant species known for its medicinal properties, is hypothesized to possess anti-inflammatory properties. Methanolic extract of Lalab Purpureous leaves was administered to Wistar albino rats, and inflammatory parameters such as paw edema and biochemical markers of inflammation were measured. The results suggest that Lalab Purpureous methanolic leaves extract exhibits significant anti-inflammatory activity in Wistar albino rats, indicating its potential therapeutic value in the management of inflammatory conditions.
