Abstract

Sepsis intensive care medicine continues to evolve. Every year, the Society for Surgical Infection and Critical Care Medicine issues updated guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis, which indicates progress in the study of the fundamental mechanisms of the development of this formidable complication and the expansion of knowledge in this field of Medicine, which results from a dysregulated host response to infection. Further emphasizing its importance, the World Health Organization has recognized sepsis as a global health priority. This scientific article is devoted to the problem of the features of clinical and laboratory manifestations of the generalization of infection in patients with long-term non-healing wounds. It reflects the features of the relationship between the frequency of the development of generalized infection and local manifestations of long-term non-healing wounds.
